Precision Timing Services
A failed cambelt or stretched timing chain can write off an engine — our interval-based replacement service keeps that risk firmly off the table.
The cambelt or timing chain is the heartbeat of your engine, synchronising the crankshaft and camshafts to within fractions of a degree. On interference engines — which includes most European units — a belt failure at speed means bent valves and a very large repair bill. We follow manufacturer-specified replacement intervals and always inspect tensioners, idler pulleys, and guides at the same time.
Because accessing the timing system means dismantling significant engine ancillaries, we recommend replacing the water pump simultaneously. It shares the same labour access, the parts cost is modest, and it eliminates the risk of a water pump failure forcing you back in shortly afterwards. We use genuine or OE-quality components throughout.
Full belt replacement to manufacturer intervals, including tensioner and idler pulley renewal — preventing catastrophic engine damage on interference motors.
Chain, guide, and tensioner inspection and replacement on high-mileage or fault-coded engines exhibiting rattle or variable cam-timing faults.
Simultaneous water pump swap while the timing system is open — saving significant labour cost and eliminating a common failure point.
Replacement of plastic guides and hydraulic or mechanical tensioners that harden, crack, and allow dangerous chain slack over time.
We check your vehicle's service history and advise on correct replacement intervals — including models with manufacturer-extended belt schedules.
Full engine start-up check, cam and crank sensor correlation scan, and road test to confirm correct timing and smooth running.
