Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you book — answered honestly.

Common Questions

Which vehicle makes and models do you work on?

We specialise in European vehicles — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Volvo, Land Rover, and more — where marque-specific knowledge and tooling really matter. We also service Japanese and Korean vehicles, so if you have a mixed household fleet, we can look after all of it in one place.

Will getting my car serviced here void my new-car warranty?

No. Under New Zealand consumer law (and aligned with the Commerce Commission’s guidance), your new-vehicle warranty cannot be voided simply because you choose an independent workshop for scheduled servicing, provided the work is carried out to the manufacturer’s service schedule using quality parts and fluids. We document every service fully so your records are complete and warranty-safe.

Do you use genuine parts, or aftermarket?

We use a combination of genuine manufacturer parts and OEM/OES (Original Equipment Manufacturer / Original Equipment Supplier) parts depending on the job, your vehicle’s age, and your preferences. OES parts are often made by the same suppliers that produce genuine parts, at a lower price point — we’ll always explain the options and let you decide what’s right for your situation.

Can you carry out a Warrant of Fitness (WoF)?

Yes, we are an authorised WoF inspection station. We can inspect your vehicle and, where minor issues are found during the inspection, discuss repairs on the spot so you can get back on the road with a current WoF as quickly as possible.

Can you diagnose faults that other workshops couldn't identify?

Quite often, yes. European vehicles — particularly BMW, Mercedes, Audi, and Volkswagen group models — use proprietary diagnostic protocols that generic OBD scanners don’t fully access. We invest in manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment and have hands-on experience with the common (and uncommon) fault patterns on these platforms, which means we can read deeper fault codes, run active tests, and interpret results that a general workshop may miss.

Do you offer loan or courtesy cars while mine is being repaired?

We do our best to accommodate customers who need to stay mobile while their vehicle is with us — please mention it when you book so we can check availability and make arrangements. We recommend getting in touch directly to confirm, as loan car availability varies day to day.

How do I book my vehicle in for a service or repair?

The easiest way is to use the booking form on our Contact page — just describe what you need and your preferred timeframe and we’ll confirm a suitable date. You’re also welcome to call us or drop by during workshop hours to discuss your vehicle before booking.
